SBS2003R2 Prem with a seperate Member Server 2008 Terminal server role
configured. I followed instructions from "Deploying Terminal Services in a
SBS2003R2 Environment" and "Adding a Server Running Sever 2008 to a SBS2003
Network" All is well on the SBS lan using RDC with Vista and XP clients, but
the TS2008 server does not show up for non-administrator users on the RWW
site. TS licensing has not yet been configured.

Ahhh nothing like being on the bleeding edge ;-)
Based on the information I've seen so far and some other folk's testing, it won't show up in SBS 2003 RWW

its Because the 2008 server can't be joined to the server using the connectcomputer wizard, which is how you have to join the 2003 TS server in order for it to show up

I have a client trying to do this same thing. The work around by KJ does work to make the TS server show up as an option in the 2003 RWW screen. You have to add that registry entry to the TS server, not the SBS server. I also wanted to ad that my client has not purchased licensing yet, so after the option to log into the TS server is displayed, you click on it and get a list of TS servers availale. Since we do not havea license installed yet, when we click on the ts server it says the connection failed due to a error in licensing. You seem to be correct that a valid license must be installed.

Try this. It worked for me and for others, but note that the official MS
"Supported Status" jury apperently is still in "deliberations".
Add the registery entry below. (Note the article reference specifies a
REG_DWORD type, but I've tested both and either seem to work fine, so....
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/243215
DWORD)
Please also make sure that you have added Terminal Server and TS licensing
role on Windows 2008 server, and activate the licensing server.
I don't recall if service stop / start was required, or a reboot was needed.

Based on the information I've seen so far and some other folk's testing,
it won't show up in SBS 2003 RWW
its Because the 2008 server can't be joined to the server using the

I have a client trying to do this same thing. The work around by KJ does work to make the TS server show up as an option in the 2003 RWW screen. You have to add that registry entry to the TS server, not the SBS server. I also wanted to add that my client has not purchased licensing yet, so after the option to log into the TS server is displayed, you click on it and get a list of TS servers availale. Since we do not havea license installed yet, when we click on the ts server it says the connection failed due to a error in licensing. You seem to be correct that a valid license must be installed.

the TS2008 server does not show up for non-administrator users on the RWW

There's a workaround. I think kj already posted it. The one thing I haven't
been able to verify is whether it requires that TS Licensing be enabled. I
suspect it may be required.

Based on the information I've seen so far and some other folk's testing,

I have a client trying to do this same thing. The work around by KJ does work to make the TS server show up as an option in the 2003 RWW screen. You have to ad that registry entry to the TS server, not the SBS server.
